A draft survey can save substantial costs for the interested party.  This type of survey is carried out to determine the amount of bulk cargo being loaded or unloaded by examining the drafts of the vessel, measuring various liquids on board such as ballast water, fuel, and diesel oil, and calculating the final quantity using the vessel’s approved dead weight scales and tank tables.
